National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

The Neuqua Media Department is a member of the Midwest Media Educators Association. MMEA is an organization dedicated to providing a media educators across the Midwest the opportunity to share curriculum and resources necessary for creating a unique experience for students in high school media programs. One of the largest events held every year is the video festival where students from across the area submit their work to be judged by industry professionals. In addition to the video festival, MMEA holds multiple day-long institutes for teachers of media. For more information, visit www.mmea.tv.

The Neuqua Media Department has received several accolades from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Students are encouraged to submit work into the high school competition each year. Seniors can also apply for scholarships if they intend to major in Broadcast Journalism or Television. Several Neuqua students have received student awards of excellence for their work as well as scholarships from this organization.
